Baptism

Water baptism is an ordinance of the local church that communicates to those who are watching that the person being baptized is a born-again Christian and is publicly identifying with Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection (Acts 2:41, Romans 6:4).

STBC teaches and practices believer’s baptism in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:18-20). Once a child, teenager, or an adult is able to articulate their saving relationship with Jesus, that person may be publicly baptized.
