OUT-REACH Ministry Opportunities

STBC Outreach Volunteers

Advertisement and Promotions- Involves creative thinking and implementing strategies that develop the brand and promote the ministry of STBC in the marketplace through various channels.  People with experience in marketing, promotions, and with access to resources are preferred.

Missions Support Team- Involves praying for the church’s missionaries, writing them, sending care packages, and being in regular contact with them to be aware of their needs.  May involve volunteering with the missionaries when and where possible.

Neighborhood Outreach Team- Involves regularly canvassing the neighborhoods surrounding the church through creative social engagement.  Must be knowledgeable of STBC values, beliefs, and events; able to pray with strangers, meet felt needs, and share the gospel when opportunities present themselves.

Race and Social Justice Initiatives- Involves writing, speaking, teaching, and reaching opportunities in the community that promote education, awareness and action.  May require inviting STBC members out into the community in order to explain and expand God’s Diverse Kingdom in various spheres of influence.  STBC will also host and promote conferences in the fields of race and social justice for the broader community.

Video Production Team- Involves filming, directing, editing, and uploading quality videos on the Internet and social media that promote the vision of STBC.

Administrative Helper

Cafeteria Helpers- Involves coming to the school once a week to serve as many lunch periods as possible between 11:00 am and 1:25 pm.  You must be encouraging to students and willing to help the aids clean and sweep up between lunch periods.

Classroom Helpers- Involves being present in classrooms where a teacher needs help with classroom management.  You must be consistent in your attendance while being a positive presence to the students.  Availability is usually anytime between 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Greeters- Involves arriving at school one day a week or more by 8:00 am to greet faculty and students coming into the building after being dropped off by parents and school buses.  You are expected to open and hold doors, speak kindly, affirm students appropriately, and smile.

Resource Trailer (Dispenser)- Involves coming to the school when the trailer comes, which is usually twice a month on Thursdays between 10:00 am and 12:00 Noon.  When the school’s administration brings students out to the trailer, you will help each child to find the clothes and supplies they need.  You will affirm them, encourage them, and put them at ease as you place their items in discreet bags.

Resource Trailer (Stocker)- Involves collecting, organizing, inventorying, and tagging clothing items and school supplies on the trailer at STBC during the week.

Truck/Transportation- Involves hitching/unhitching the resource trailer to the church’s truck and driving it to and from the school twice a month on Thursdays between 10:00 am and 12:00 Noon.

Tutors- Involves working one-on-one with a student as directed by the teacher.  Availability is usually anytime Monday through Friday, after 1:00 pm.
