Salvation

A man once asked the Apostle Paul, “What must I do to be saved?” Paul simply replied, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.” (Acts 16:31, 32)

If you noticed, Paul didn’t tell the man to go to church or to do good things in order to be saved. Paul gave the man the good news that salvation is only found in Jesus (see John 14:6 and Acts 4:12).

If you want Jesus to save you from the penalty of your sins, which is eternal death in hell, all you have to do is ask Him. The Bible says, “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

Every human being was born a sinner (see Romans 3:23) and this is why Jesus said we must be born again from above of spiritual birth (see John 3:3,7). And because God loved us so much, Jesus came to earth to die on the cross in our place thereby taking our punishment, and three days later He rose from the dead (see Luke 24:1-7).

Therefore, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved!! Go ahead and call on the name of the Lord right now and He will save you (see John 1:12, Romans 10:9, 13).

If you just asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, all of your sins are forgiven and you are now a child of God! Welcome to the family of God!
